Tributes are pouring in for a longtime business owner in the region who died this month following a battle with cancer.
Herkimer County resident George Pulver Jr., of Little Falls, died Tuesday, July 19, at the age of 65 while surrounded by his wife and children, according to his obituary.
Born in Hudson, Pulver was well-known around Columbia County for running his family business, Pulver’s Glass, for more than 40 years, his memorial said. He retired in 2017.

A Hudson Valley resident who worked as an administrative assistant died unexpectedly at the age of 31.
Dutchess County resident Ashley Marie Fortier-Curtis, of Hyde Park, died at home on Thursday, June 23, according to her obituary.
Fortier-Curtis was born in Poughkeepsie and worked for Bottini Fuel as an administrative assistant/dispatcher, her obituary said.
Before her position at Bottini Fuel, she worked in home health care.
She is survived by her mother, Corinna Fortier, her step-father, Warren Qualls, and her brother, William Qualls, her obituary said.

The owner of a popular Hudson Valley deli who died in an accident over the weekend is being remembered for his kindness and positivity.
Orange County resident Anthony Apostolico, age 48, of Chester, died on Sunday, June 19, when a tree fell on top of a pickup truck that he was a passenger in.
Police said the accident happened in Rockland County on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Stony Point.
