Fox Lane High Senior Selected To Attend Students Inside Albany Program

BEDFORD, N.Y. – A Fox Lane High School senior was recently selected by The League of Women Voters of Bedford, Lewisboro and North Salem to attend its annual Students Inside Albany program.

Venesa Rugova, a senior at Fox Lane High School in Bedford and a resident of Mount Kisco, will be one of 62 students attending the May 17-20 program.

“Venesa is an excellent student who received high praise from her teachers and she has a strong interest in government and international relations which make her participation all the more appropriate,” said LWVBLNS Board President Harry MacLaughlin in a press release.

“We are proud to be able to offer this opportunity to such a stellar choice from our district.”

Rugova and other participants will shadow state senators and assembly members, attend a variety of interactive lectures, take a tour of the state capitol, and attend a legislative session on the Chamber floor.

Local chapters of the League of Women Voters cover all related expenses for selected students.
