Emerson Honors Local Wrestling Champs

EMERSON, N.J. -- The Emerson Borough Council honored the Emerson/Park Ridge wrestling team on Tuesday, May 17, for winning its first state championship.

The team won the Group 2 trophy after defeating Delaware Valley at the 2016 NJSIAA group wrestling championships.

This is Emerson/Park Ridge's first state championship, and the first for coach Stan Woods, who has been with the team for 47 years.
