The accident in the vicinity of the Harvey School occurred around 2 p.m. Sunday, when the car hit a transformer and two polls, knocking down electrical wires and causing the street to lose power, police said.

The four occupants of the car received non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Northern Westchester Hospital, police said.

NYSEG workers performed a temporary repair Sunday night to restore power to the section of Route 22 between Jay Street and Mustato Road and clear away the downed wires, police said.

Early this morning, the road was closed again while workers fully repaired the damage to the polls, police said.

The Katonah Bedford Volunteer Ambulance Company, an ALS ambulance, and the Katonah Fire Department also responded to the scene Sunday, police said.
