Mary 'Jill' Carmody Of Katonah, 87, Real Estate Agent

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. --  Mary "Jill" Carmody, 87, died on Saturday, April 8, at the Baptist Medical Center in Fernandina Beach, Fla., following a short illness.

She lived in Amelia Island Plantation, Fla., and in Katonah.

Her high school years were spent at Convent of the Sacred Heart in Greenwich, Conn., followed by Newton College in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

For many years Carmody sold real estate at Holmes & Kennedy, in Chappaqua, where she was involved in a variety of community and church activities.

Carmody was always surrounded by family members and many friends who will always cherish their many happy memories. 

She was the daughter of the late Mary and Edward F. Keating of Scarsdale. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas W. Carmody, and is survived by her four children: Meg (Steve) Roberts of Delmar; Thomas (Ellen) of Wayne, N.J., Kevin (Cindy) of Portland, Ore.; and Cathy (Jim) Nellis of Hinesburg, Vt., as well as her six grandchildren: Jessica (Jimmy) Green, Michelle, T.J., Kelly, Shannen and Victoria.

She is also survived by her sister Joan Keating, of Scarsdale, as well as sisters-in-law, Lila, Carole and Ann Keating. Her three brothers Ed, Jack (her twin) and Dick predeceased her.

Visitation hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 28, at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home, Inc. 418 Bedford Road, Pleasantville.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 29th at 10 a.m. at Saint John and Saint Mary Church in Chappaqua, followed by internment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla.
