Charis Chamber Voices Perform Choral Works In Bedford

BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Charis Chamber Voices will present choral works on Saturday, May 2, at Bedford Presbyterian Church at 7:30 p.m.

Charis will present works by Belgian de Lassus, Zoltan Kodaly, Estonian, Cyrillus Kreek, Salamon Rossi, Josef Rheinberger, Camille Saint-Saens, Miklos Kocsar, Gyorgy Ligeti, as well as works of Daniel Lesur, Rupert Lang and William Owen.

Charis is an auditioned chorus of 30 men and women from Westchester and Fairfield counties, founded in 1994 and renowned for its diverse repertoire, unique blend of voices and captivating performances.

This is Charis’ fifth season under the direction of Art Sjogren, an accomplished choral director who is frequently in demand as a guest conductor at American and international choral festivals.
