BEDFORD, N.Y. — Here are some of the events going on in Bedford this weekend.

Friday, April 27

Wild Flower Excursion to American Legion State Forest: 9:30 a.m. The Bedford Audubon Society invites you to go on a forest hiking trip in Pleasant Valley, Conn. The tour of spring wildflowers will include views of squirrel corn, wild ginger and blue cohosh. Bring water and wear comfortable boots. Register soon for this tour led by botanist Carol Gracie. Tour starts from the Bedford Audubon Society, 35 Todd Road, Katonah.

Israeli Independence Day Celebration: 8 p.m. Temple Shaaray Tefila celebrates Israeli Independence Day with a Shabbat service followed by a family concert with Israeli musicians performing native songs. The concert will be followed by a wine and cheese reception. This event is free and open to all. Temple Shaaray Tefila, 89 Baldwin Road, Bedford Corners.

Saturday, April 28

Free Workshop: Latest Trends in Resumes: 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. The Katonah Village Library will host a seminar teaching you how to transform your resume into a marketing document for your own personal brand. Find out about different formats and the right way to post your resume on job sites. Reserve a seat by calling 914-232-3508. Visit with Dr. Pete at Little Joe’s Books: 11 a.m. The Katonah-based children’s bookstore will host Dr. Peter Richel, Chief of the Pediatric Department of Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco. Dr. Pete will educate his young audience about how the benefits of proper nutrition keep them staying happy and healthy. Little Joe's Books, 25 Katonah Ave., Katonah.

The Cast of “Beatlemania!”: 7:30 p.m. The Community Education Foundation and Friends of Music & the Arts are sponsoring a concert fundraiser at Fox Lane High School in support of Bedford schools. The renowned former Broadway cast members of "Beatlemania" will be performing their acclaimed show. For ticket information, go to . Tickets are $40. Concert of Baroque Music: Handel and His World : 4 p.m. Pieces by Handel, Telemann, Veracini and Boyce will be performed on original instruments by the internationally acclaimed Baroque ensemble, Rebel. This is the season finale of Rebel “Musica Antiqua Nova” series. Reservations are recommended. Tickets are $35. Special prices for students and children. The Garden Conservancy's Open Days Program : 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Explore the private garden of Mr. and Mrs. Coleman Burke at 52 Hook Road in Bedford. The garden will be open for self-guided tours to benefit the Garden Conservancy. Views of the Beaver Dam River can be seen below a garden enclosed by old stone walls. A path leads up to a pool flanked by a giant pair of boars and surrounded by a rock garden. Cost is $5. Children 12 and under get in free. 52 Hook Road, Bedford.
