BEDFORD, N.Y. – A holiday craft fair at Katonah Elementary School, the Bedford Hills Fire Department Candy Cane Run and the Bedford Village Lions Club's annual pancake breakfast are some of the events happening in the Bedford area this weekend.

Friday, Dec. 7

Katonah Elementary School Holiday Craft Fair: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Katonah Elementary School's annual Holiday Boutique is sponsored by the school's Parent Teacher Organization. The event will offer signed sports memorabilia, jewelry, unique clothing for kids and 'tweens, children's gifts, homemade chocolate and jams, personalized gift items and more. The event, held in the gymnasium, will also feature The Kid’s Shoppe selling homemade gifts by KES kids. Katonah Elementary School, 106 Huntville Road, Katonah.

Saturday, Dec. 8

Bedford Hills Fire Department Candy Cane Run: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Members of the Bedford Hills Fire Department will serve as Santa's helpers Saturday, escorting Santa Claus to various locations throughout the fire district on a Bedford Hills fire engine. All residents are encouraged to bring their children for candy canes and photos with Santa. Intro to Mandarin Language Workshop: 11 a.m. In this workshop, children will get an introduction to Mandarin Chinese through interactive methods. The class is appropriate for children ages 6 to 10. A Baroque Christmas: 8 p.m. The Aulos Ensemble and soprano Julianne Baird return to Caramoor to present holiday music in the music room of the Rosen House. Rosen House Music Room. Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts, 149 Girdle Ridge Road, Katonah.

Sunday, Dec. 9

O Magnum Mysterium: 4 p.m. Master Singers of Westchester, the Bedford-based community chorus, under the direction of Les Robinson Hadell, presents its holiday concert "O Magnum Mysterium." The performance will present works of composers spanning the centuries from late 16th century to the 20th century including Claudio Monteverdi, Peter Philips, William Byrd, Benjamin Britten, Ralph Williams, John Rutter, Morten Lauridsen and others. Bedford Presbyterian Church, Village Green, Bedford.

Bedford Village Lions Pancake Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Bedford Village Lions Club will host its traditional Harry Banks Memorial Pancake Breakfast Sunday. Come celebrate the holiday season, raise funds for the Lions Club and socialize with neighbors young and old as the Lions honor Bedford's senior citizens. Lions Club members will serve a family-style breakfast of pancakes, sausages, doughnuts, orange juice, tea and coffee. Fox Lane High School’s Chamber Choir will perform a selection of holiday music, and Santa and Leo the Lion will be greeting the children. Tickets are $10, and senior citizens and children under the age of 3 will be admitted free. Bedford Historical Hall, 608 Old Post Road, Bedford.
