Elliot's book "Stallside" is a memoir of his decades of experience working with horses and other animals. The tales in "Stallside" capture the "unusual adventures and memorable characters a young veterinarian encounters on his journey to becoming an experienced equine practitioner," according to publisher RiverHorse Press.

"Full of insights into horse care, animal behavior and human eccentricity, Dr. Eliott shares stories from the heart," the publisher wrote.

Susan Dorazio of Colebrook, Conn. is the artist of "Stallside," using paintings and illustrations throughout the narration.

Eliott has been an equine veterinarian for more than 25 years, practicing in both California and New York, according to the publisher. He lives in North Salem with his wife, Alexis, where they own and operate RiverHorse Farm. He actively competes in Combined Training events.

Eliott will be doing a signing at the Bedford Riding Lanes Association Fall Hunter Pace in Bedford on Sunday. Signed copies of the book will be available soon at Beval's Saddlery in North Salem and the Horse Connection in Bedford Village as well as on Amazon.
