Thousands Without Power in Bedford Due to Snow

BEDFORD, N.Y. – Thousands are without power in Bedford because of the howling winds and heavy snowfall blanketing Northern Westchester. NYSEG reports that 90 percent of its customers in the Bedford are without power, and 47 percent of its customers in Bedford Hills are without Power. Approximately one-fifth of Con Edison customers in Bedford are without power.

Of the 1,852 customers NYSEG reports serving in Bedford, 1,650 are without power, of the 2,306 Bedford Hill customers that NYSEG serves, it reports that 1,102 are without power.

Conedison reports that 232 of its 1,018 customers in Bedford are without power. There are no estimates of when power will be restored to the area. Residents are advised to avoid travel where possible.
