Last month, their teammate, junior back Aila Prieto, was selected to the NJ/NY 7s all-star team. News of the all-star selections made Harvey’s coach Ciara Lehane very happy and proud.

“It's been a wildly successful second season when 10 percent of the team earns all-star spots,” said Lehane.

The team’s record this spring was 2-3 after a winless inaugural season in 2014. Smith and Frisch, who was selected Rookie of the Year by her coaches, will be competing in Pittsburgh June 20 and 21 at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Cup where national coaches will be scouting All-Americans.
