KATONAH, N.Y. -- Kim Bernstein, catcher for the Harvey School softball team, has been named to the Western New England Softball All-Star team, the league announced Thursday.
Bernstein, who lives in Bedford Corners, batted .679 with 19 hits and led the Cavaliers with a team-leading 16 runs batted in and 15 runs scored. She hit four doubles, a triple and a one home run, which was a grand slam.
Harvey's softball team had a record of 2-9 in the recently-completed spring season but Bernstein was a major factor in the team's back-to-back Hudson Valley Athletic League titles in 2010 and 2011.
