Harvey School Varsity, JV Sports Teams Have Busy Stretch

KATONAH, N.Y. -- The Harvey School's boys basketball team went 1-2 in recent action.

Storm King beat Harve, 75-52, on Dec. 16, despite a career-high 17 point from freshman Evan Roteman. Deshawn Hilliard added nine rebounds.

Harvey also lost to New York Military Academy, 71-40. Sacha Kantor and Jake Kohn had 12 points each, while Hilliard had 12 rebounds. 

On Wednesday, Dec. 11, Harvey defeated South Kent School, 55-38. Senior Jake Cohn led Harvey with 16 points and seven assists. Junior guard Ricky Hicks contributed 11 points while Kantor chipped in with 10.

Girls Basketball

Harvey’s girls varsity basketball team beat Storm King, 26-10, for its first win. Sophomore Jaeden McKenzie led Harvey offensively with eight points and exercised solid ball handling.

Junior Varsity Sports

The boys basketball junior varsity squad improved to  4-1 with a 49-12 win over Storm King.  Harvey’s Lamar Dell led all scorers with 14, including 4 three-pointers.

The JV Cavaliers also beat New York Military Academy, 37-9, as Rohan Casells scored 15 points.

Josh Markowitz and Jovell Forsythe scored 11 each for the Harvey JV in  52-16 win over Brunswick. Forsyth added  10 rebounds.

On Dec. 11, in the first game ever for a Harvey JV 3rds team, the Cavaliers put up a tough battle, but lost to the Forman School 35-23.

Shawn Mallon led the team in scoring with six points while Rafael Tapia, Sam Shapiro and Dajour Fisher chipped in with four points apiece.
