LEWISBORO, N.Y. ‒ The Harvey School boys soccer team opened its 2012 fall season on the road Tuesday with a convincing 7-1 victory over Poughkeepsie Day School.

Harvey junior Robbie VanRaamsdonk and senior captain Dave Mandra had three goals each, and Mandra added a pair of assists as the Cavaliers began the season on a positive note after struggling to a 4-6-2 record last fall.

Junior Harry Solomon assisted on Mandras's first goal, and junior Jake Cohn set up VanRaamsdonk on his third goal as the Cavaliers took a 4-0 halftime lead.

Harvey’s offense picked up three more goals in the second half with junior Brian Silva scoring on a pass from Solomon and Mandra scoring twice more for his hat trick. Cohn and VanRaamsdonk had the assists on Mandra's final goal, a shot from 18 yards out.
