BEDFORD, N.Y. -- The honorees for the Fox Lane High School Class of 2015 were inducted into the Hall of Fame during a luncheon ceremony in the school gym before the 2015 Homecoming Football Game Saturday, Oct. 10.
The honorees are John Pyne, teacher, coach and administrator (1959-79); Charles LaMonica, teacher, coach and Fox Lane assistant principal (1960-1992); Brothers William Straub ’60 (not present at ceremony) and James Straub ’62 (posthumously), cross-country champions; Laura Chesler ’75, cross-country, track, basketball, volleyball, cheerleader; Michael Paletta ’83, soccer, wrestling, lacrosse; Laura Paletta ’85, soccer, volleyball, ski team; Kristie Herlihy ’89, field hockey, basketball, lacrosse.
The inductees were formally introduced to the Bedford Central School District Community on the field at halftime of the football game versus the Carmel Rams. The Rams defeated the Foxes, 27-13.
The game was designated as Senior Day, recognizing the participation of the class of 2016 in football, cheerleading and dance.
The Fox Lane High School Sports Hall of Fame was created in 1995.
