BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Veteran Fox Lane High football coach Bill Broggy saw his team lose in the first round of last fall's Class AA playoffs, and eventually close the season at 5-4.
Broggy, in his 12th year overall with the team (but his second year back after taking four years off), said this year's group is young, but full of potential.
"We lost 19 seniors to graduation, so we have a lot of new kids stepping in," Broggy told Daily Voice during a visit to training camp. "A lot will depend on how fast they pick up the schemes, how they blend together."
Fox Lane is set to open the 2016 season Saturday, Sept. 3 at Port Chester at 1:30 p.m.
