University of Illinois freshman Steven Rodrigues won the freestyle 63-kilogram (138.75 pounds) weight class in the 2012 FILA Junior National Wrestling Championships at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Rodrigues, a 2011 graduate of Fox Lane High School in Bedford, N.Y., and New York State wrestling champion, won five matches. He concluded his run by defeating Jameson Oster of the Wildcat Wrestling Club.
