BEDFORD HILLS, N.Y. -- Ossining came out on top in the standings - though a good time and good competition was had by all - in a Northern Westchester Swim Conference Division 3 meet Saturday at Bedford Hills Memorial Park.

Bedford Hills coach Alex Vidal said his team - ranging from U6 through U18 - may not be the fastest or the strongest - but they are enthusiastic and give their all.

"We aren't the biggest team but we are the loudest," Vidal told Daily Voice. "Operating with a relatively small team, we still hold our own against the other teams in our Division 3 conference.

"This is a tough season for us because it is the first time we have been above Division 4 in many  years. Torview (Ossining) was an especially difficult meet because of our small team size.

"A lot of our swimmers were put in challenging events in order to fill the race lineup, however with the support and effort of the team, staff, and parents, we were able to to give them a run for their money.

"Unfortunately we could not overcome the odds. Yet, as a team we bounce back quickly and are looking forward to competing against the other teams in the conferences, and Torview, at the D3 championship meet."
