Lewisboro Residents Dispute Data To Close Elementary School

LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- Residents of the Katonah-Lewisboro School District rallied once again in opposition to the school board's proposal to close Lewisboro Elementary School, according to the Lewisboro Ledger.

In the most recent bout between residents and school officials, members of the community presented data to the school board refuting the forecasts provided by an outside firm that suggest enrollment numbers will continue to decline, the Ledger reported.

More than 600 residents and 44 businesses have signed petitions opposing the school's closure, according to the Ledger.
