To The Editor:
I support Pam Harney and Michelle Brooks who are seeking election to the BCSD Board of Education for the following reason: The massive deficit we are facing took years to make.
Their opponents are two term incumbents. It's time for new leadership with a fresh perspective. Others should be given the opportunity to implement a more sustainable long term approach. And hopefully they will have more success than what we've witnessed in the past six years.
Why hadn't the insurance savings, only now being implemented, been previously identified and better managed over the past six years?
I also support Mike Solomon for another term, despite him being a one term incumbent. He has always been the voice of reason from a fiscal perspective.
Going forward, I feel our best chance to fix the structural imbalance in our future budgets, will be through the leadership of Pam Harney, Michele Brooks and Michael Solomon.
I am voting yes for a redirection in leadership and no for the status quo.
Sincerely,
James Noone
