Katonah-Lewisboro Board Casts Preliminary Vote To Close LES

LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- The Katonah-Lewisboro School Board voted to close Lewisboro Elementary School in a preliminary vote held on Thursday, Dec. 16, according to LoHud.com.

A resolution to shutter Lewisboro Elementary School was passed 5-2 in a preliminary vote by the school board.

Parents opposed to the resolution became emotional at times, battling to sway the opinions of the board members, LoHud.com said.

In the end, only two board members voted against the resolution. A final vote on the fate of LES is scheduled to be held on Thursday, Jan. 23, according to LoHud.com.
