John Jay High Boasts 6 National Merit Semifinalists

CROSS RIVER, N.Y. --  John Jay High School in Cross River has announced that six seniors have been named semifinalists for National Merit Scholarships.

Amber Bauer, Samuel Blum, Cameron Leska-Kent, Anthony Andrew Mamo, Jordan Stepaniuk and Lindsey Weiss are now among approximately 16,000 students nationwide who will compete to be named scholarship finalists.

“We are extremely proud of our six National Merit Semifinalists,” John Jay Principal Jessica Godin said in a statement. “These academically talented students have worked studiously to achieve this tremendous recognition.”

Finalists for the National Merit Scholarships will be announced in the spring.
