BikeRun To Present $7,000 To Bedford School Board

BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Organizers of the 2013 Elementary BikeRun will present a $7,000 donation from funds raised at this year's event to the Bedford Central School District's Board of Education at its Wednesday, Oct. 9 meeting.

The proceeds will be used to support the District Capital Projects plan to refurbish the Fox Lane Track.

The rousing success of the third annual event also means the BikeRun will return for a fourth year on May 18, 2014 at the Fox Lane Stadium and Campus. Sponsorships are available now and participants will be able to sign up for the event in March.

More than 350 cyclists and runners participated in the event and received support from sponsors such as OptumHealth, New York Life, MKMG, LexAveGym, Houlihan Lawrence, Bedford Village Chowder & Marching and WeeZee World.
