Kennedy faculty will provide weekly in-person and online instructional presentations to St. Patrick’s eighth-graders and also will provide professional development for St. Patrick’s teachers via a distance-learning platform.
Students will have access to educational apps and tools, e-books (including textbooks) and real world, real-time information and data. Students will learn how to highlight, take notes, search and use other learning applications available on the iPad.
In addition, Kennedy staff will install the management software and filter content.
“We are so excited to begin this partnership, which allows St. Patrick’s eighth-graders to learn how to use technology in ways that prepare them for high school and beyond with invaluable support from Kennedy,” St. Patrick’s School Principal Jennifer Ciavirella said in a statement. “We hope to eventually increase the iPad program to all of our middle school students.”
