Norwalk Mayor's Ball To Benefit Malta House, Family & Children's Agency

Malta House has been serving homeless women and their children for nearly 20 years. 

It assists homeless women and their children by providing on-site counseling, financial education, and parental development followed by transitional and post-residential support. 

Malta House helps families reach self-sufficiency and independence.

Family & Children’s Agency has been providing services to the most vulnerable members of our community since 1942. 

Their mission is to help families build better lives through the Foster Care and Adoption programs. 

The agency also works to stabilize families by providing counseling and homeless services programs. Another part of the service they provide is the Home Care programs are provided to keep elderly family members living independently in their own homes. 

A recently enhanced component of one of the programs is an After School Program, ASPIRE, serving Norwalk public schools, middle and high school students to ensure teens graduate high school and are prepared for college or vocational training. 

The ASPIRE program is located on the campus of NCC.

The Mayor’s Ball, established as a non-profit charitable institution, is held i January to benefit local charities. 

The 2017 Mayor’s Ball will be held on Friday, Jan. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Italian Center in Stamford.

Tickets are available at $120 per person. Tables of 10 can also be reserved. 

Checks should be made payable to the “Norwalk Community Benefit Fund.”

Donations of silent auction items produce the major portion of the Mayor’s Ball proceeds, and can be made by calling Sally Johnson, Executive Assistant to the Mayor, at (203) 854-7707. 

Tax-deductable contributions to the Mayor’s Ball can be made at any time.
