NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Helen Piermont, 97, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died March 24.
She was born on July 9, 1914 to the late William and Anna (Heisse) Heidel. On Nov. 7, 1953, she married Nicholas J. Piermont at Blessed Sacrament Church. He predeceased her in 1998.
Piermont worked at Sanborn Map Company and J.F. Jelenko before retiring in 1981. She was a former member of the Garden Club and Echo Bay Yacht Club. Piermont also worked on the War Council as a Medical Service Volunteer and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her children Gail and John Carroscio, Nancy and Anthony Circelli, all of New Rochelle, her son Christopher Piermont of North Carolina, seven grandchildren and a great-grandson. She was predeceased by her brothers William, George and Albert, her sisters Elizabeth, Anna, Margaret, Lillian and Dorothy.
Visiting hours will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel in New Rochelle, where a funeral service will be held Tuesday evening at 8 pm. Interment will be private. Funeral arrangements are under Sisto and Paino Inc. Directors.
