The new park will offer residents a half-mile looped walking trail in a natural park setting.

The property has been designated as parkland since 1988, though it took some time for the city to find a way to make it accessible to the public.

“I asked our Recreation and Parks and Public Works Departments to move forward and create this park and am pleased to see the vision for this land finally become reality,” Roach said in a statement. “We hope that Bryant-Mamaroneck Park will be a quiet oasis in this bustling city where residents can come to enjoy nature and the new walking trail.”

The Bryant-Mamaroneck Park is located on the corner of Bryant and Mamaroneck Avenues. Parking is available in the City of White Plains Shapham Parking lot across the street.
