BEDFORD, N.Y. — A 1,300-square-foot glass tile luxury pool in the shape of a violin is beginning to take shape at a Bedford home.

New Jersey pool company Cipriano Landscape Design will install the concrete for the million-dollar pool on Monday, said marketing associate Andrew Keenan. According to a media release from Cipriano, the owner of the residence where the pool is being built is a music lover and musician.

Some of the pool's luxury features include two acrylic glass walls that provide underwater views of an adjacent koi pond.

The custom glass tile pool floor is made up of 440,000 individual tiles and has "violin strings" showcased in black. The floor also features 5,400 strands of fiber optic lights that can be synchronized to music from underwater speakers.

The pool has a 2,000-gallon-per-minute pump that creates a current strong enough to kayak in, an outdoor movie system and a "chin-rest" perimeter overflow spa.

President of Cipriano Landscape Design Chris Cipriano said in a statement that, from a construction standpoint, “building a pool like this is not for the faint of heart.”
