Both Pataki and Rubio have 11 percent of New York's registered Republicans backing them while Bush is hot on their heels with 10 percent.
Among Democrats, Chappaqua's Hillary Clinton still holds a commanding lead over Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, 55-15 percent, the poll said.
While New York will likely vote blue in the general election, the state could be vital in determining gets the GOP nomination, the poll said.
