To the editor:
Know who you are voting for. Town elections matter, and not just to benefit the town and its residents. There is a bigger picture.
Know who you are voting for: the candidate's beliefs and stands on issues speak to who that candidate is.
Town elections can -- and often do -- open the door to higher office.
MaryAnn Carr is the candidate who supports the following: the no-fracking policy established years ago by our Town Board; fair apportionment of tax dollars; work force housing that is affordable (police, fire, teachers); fiscal responsibility; and staying below the tax cap whenever possible.
These are some of the values that the voter should consider when looking at a candidate's profile.
So, please, vote MaryAnn Carr for Town Board on March 15. She is compassionate, caring and smart and she possesses the skills to serve everyone in Bedford.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Bea Rhodes
