State Sen. George Latimer will be the Democratic nominee for Westchester County Executive.

Latimer easily outdistanced County Legislator Ken Jenkins in Tuesday's primary and will face Republican incumbent Rob Astorino, who is running for a third term, in November's election.

With 80 percent of percent of the vote tallied early Wednesday morning, Latimer held a 63 percent to 37 percent lead over Jenkins.

In White Plains, incumbent Mayor Thomas Roach defeated Councilwoman Milagros Lecuna in the Democratic primary 72.5 percent to 27.5 percent.

Roach's slate, which was endorsed by the White Plains Democratic City Committee, features Justin Brasch, John Kirkpatrick, and John Martin, who all won.

In Peekskill, Ramon Fernandez, Vanessa Agudelo, and Colin Smith will face off against Luis Segarra and Robert Sullivan in a Democratic primary. Segarra and Sullivan are also running on the Republican ticket.

In Mount Pleasant, Councilwoman Laurie Smalley and Thomas Sialiano easily won after being challenged by Councilman Denis McCarthy and Joseph Soricelli.
