Kass, Corcoran Lead In Bedford Town Board Race

BEDFORD, N.Y. – Mary Beth Kass and Francis Corcoran have taken an early lead for the two open seats on the Bedford Town Board, with 28 percent and 27 percent of the votes, respectively, with 88 percent of districts reporting.

Democrats Meredith Black and Julie Velpescu each had 23 percent, according to Board of Electors officials.

Corcoran (R), Meredith Black (D), Kass (R), and Julie Vulpescu (D) all vied for the two open spots.

Incumbent Town Clerk Boo Fumagalli (R, C) has taken an early lead against candidate Simone Shapiro (D. Wor., Ind.), 58 percent to 42 percent.
