The Republican frontrunner, billionaire real-estate magnet Donald Trump, owns an estate in Bedford and golf clubs in Briarcliff and Hopewell Junction.

Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton has lived with her husband, former President Bill Clinton, in an 11-room, five-bedroom, 100-year-old Dutch colonial in Chappaqua since 1999.

Former Peekskill Mayor George Pataki was also a candidate in the race before bowing out in late December. Pataki and his wife, Libby, own a farm in Garrison that sells cherries, hay and has 85 head of cattle.

The former three-term New York governor had entered the race on a piping hot day in New Hampshire in May, evoking memories o of his upset of three-term incumbent Mario Cuomo in 1994.

Pataki made news during the campaign when he became the only candidate in a crowded Republican field to say he would not support Trump if he's the party's nominee.

In a Daily Voice exclusive interview at the Manhattan offices of Chadbourne & Park LLP, Pataki sat down in with Daily Voice CEO and Founder Carll Tucker, for a conversation on the current state of American politics.

Pataki said the American people have become distrustful of experienced politicians and favor candidates seemingly more comfortable on the silver screen than in the White House.

"The more outrageous things you are, the bigger celebrity you are, the more the media pays attention," said Pataki. "And when the media pays attention, the public watches.

"It's tragic for the American people because we have real problems that need real solutions, but they are being ignored."

Discussing an array of topics, Pataki shared his experiences campaigning across the nation, his thoughts on Trump, the changing mindset of the American voter, and the problems and pitfalls facing New York state and its residents.
