Westchester Contractor Gets Locked In School Bus Garage

A contractor found himself in a precarious position this week when he accidentally got locked at a job site in North Castle.

Putnam County law enforcement officials transferred a call to the North Castle Police Department shortly before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, when a contractor from Delco Electric reported that he was at the Byram Hills Bus Garage in Armonk, locked in the gated area.

Officers from North Castle were able to contact Phil Petersen, the Byram Hills Transportation Dispatcher, alerting him of the incident, and advising that the contractor was authorized to be on the premise, and was not trespassing.

Petersen was able to confirm that the contractor was in there, and helped advise him to an un-gated portion of the garage. The contractor was able to escape his predicament without further incident and left the lot.
