Stolen Vehicles, Thefts Under Investigation In Northern Westchester

New York State Police from the Brewster barracks are investigating an increased number of stolen vehicle complaints and valuables stolen from within vehicles in Putnam and Northern Westchester.

Over the past several days, vehicles have been reported stolen from Haviland Drive in Brewster and Ridgeview Road in Patterson and Lakeside Drive in Lewisboro.

Over the past several days, vehicles have been reported stolen from Haviland Drive in Brewster and Ridgeview Road in Patterson, state police said.

In addition, members of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation from Somers are also investigating the theft of a vehicle from Lakeside Drive in the Town of Lewisboro, police said.

These crimes are occurring in residential neighborhoods and are facilitated by residents who leave their car keys and valuables unsecured inside of their cars, according to police.

State police are advising residents to always lock their cars and not store valuable property within their cars.
