State PD: Woman Charged With Possession In Bedford

BEDFORD, N.Y.— A New Canaan, Conn. woman was found with 97 Klonopin pills not prescribed to her when a state trooper pulled her over in Bedford early Sunday morning, according to the New York State Police in Somers.

Katricia Schmidt, 26, was seen throwing litter from her car as she drove down Interstate 684, police said. When police pulled her over at approximately 2:50 a.m., Schmidt was found with the unprescribed pills, police said.

Schmidt was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. She is scheduled to appear Aug. 23 in Town of Bedford Court.
