Somers Resident Charged With Fleeing Accident

YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police recently arrested a Somers resident for leaving the scene of an accident and other charges following an accident in the parking lot of the Commerce Building.

According to police, a Cortlandt Manor woman called reporting that a person had left the scene of an accident in the parking lot where a parked 2007 Honda was struck by a 2013 Subaru. 

An investigation into the accident, found that James McNeill was the driver of the 2013 Subaru that left the scene and that he was driving on a suspended license.

Officers arrested McNeill outside his home in Somers. He was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and leaving the scene of an accident with damage. He was released without bail and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Court on June 21.
