BEDFORD, N.Y. — A sex offender convicted of possessing child porn on his computer has moved to 147 Railroad Ave. in Bedford, according to the Bedford police.
The police, acting under the provisions of Meagan’s Law, notified schools that Lawrence W. Brown, 49, relocated to the area Friday. The Katonah-Lewisboro School District and St. Patrick’s School in Bedford are among the schools that sent out emails to parents.
Brown was convicted in January of possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child less than 16 years old, a felony, and sentenced to 60 days in jail and 10 years’ probation. Of the three levels of sex offenders, Brown is classified as Level 2, meaning there is a moderate risk that he will commit another crime.
