UPDATE 9 p.m.: Route 35 in Katonah has been reopened after a crash, Bedford police said late Wednesday. 

BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Eastbound Route 35 in Katonah was closed at Route 22 because of a serious accident, Bedford police advised at about 8:07 p.m. Wednesday. 

The multicar accident included injuries, police said. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
