Officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to a Ridge Street residence shortly before 7:30 a.m. on Friday, March 9, where there was a report of a domestic dispute.

The investigation into the alleged dispute determined that Yorktown resident Marko Mikprelevic struck his victim in the face and arm, “causing pain and injury to the victim,” police said.

Mikprelevic was arrested at the scene and charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor. Following arraignment in Yorktown Justice Court, Mikprelevic was released on his own recognizance, and a Temporary Order of Protection was issued on behalf of his victim. Mikprelevic is due back in court on March 20 to answer the charge.
