Police received a complaint from fire department officials Dec. 13 that one of their members, Michael J. Pastore, 31, had used the fire district credit card to buy gas for his own car, police said.

Department policy states that only authorized members of the department can use the card, and only for fire department-owned vehicles. The department told police that Pastore used the card on three occasions at the Mobil station located at 80 Bedford Road, across from the firehouse.

Pastore was pulled over in Katonah on Dec. 15 around midnight when he failed to signal a turn on Cross River Road, police said.

The Katonah man was charged with three counts of second-degree criminal impersonation of a public service worker and three counts of petit larceny, both misdemeanors.

Pastore was also charged with failure to signal, a traffic violation. He was released on his own recognizance and will return to Town of Bedford Court on Dec. 27.
