BEDFORD, N.Y. -- More than 40 drivers aren't too happy Tuesday after New York State Police handed out tickets for speeding and cellphone use during a speed detail on I-684 on Monday, Dec. 28.
According to Major Robin H. Benziger, Troop K Commander, four troopers issued 44 tickets, including 32 for speeding and one for a cell phone violation on the highway in the Town of North Castle in Westchester County.
State police normally conduct extra patrols during the holiday season in an effort to prevent deaths and injuries, police said.
