A Karvey Lane resident reported to officers on Thursday at the North Castle Police Department that on Oct. 22 his neighbors had allegedly shot deer from their deck with an unknown model rifle.

Police said that the resident stated he had called the neighbor a few days after hearing the gunshots, and the neighbor said that it was her boyfriend who shot the deer and that “she obtained a license from Westchester County allowing her to do so.”

Police responded to the residence, advising the homeowner that she is not allowed to shoot deer in her backyard, warning for it not to happen again. Officers were able to clear the scene without further incident.
