Mothers Against Drunk Driving Honors Bedford Officer Jonathan Evans

BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Police Officer Jonathan Evans received recognition from the New York State STOP-DWI Foundation and Mothers Against Drunk Driving for his efforts in protecting motorists in the Town of Bedford.

Evans was responsible for 36 of the department’s 62 driving while intoxicated arrests in 2012. 

“Officer Evans’ dedication to traffic enforcement has a significant effect on traffic safety in our community and he should be recognized for his life-saving efforts," Police Chief William Hayes said in a statement. "I am proud to have him as part of my team and look forward to his continued success.”
