BEDFORD, N.Y. - Police in Bedford are investigating a suspicious incident that may lead to criminal trespassing charges for a pair that allegedly unlawfully entered the Fox Lane Middle School in the dead of night.
Shortly before 3 a.m. on Tuesday, April 18, police were dispatched to the middle school on South Bedford Road (Route 172) when a burglar alarm and motion sensors went off. Surveillance video would indicate that there were two individuals, a male and female walking inside the building.
Upon arrival at Fox Lane, police located a 24-year-old man from Mount Kisco and his 25-year-old female guest from New Hampshire, who were still inside the building. Police said that the man said that he was a former student at the school and reported no signs of forced entry.
According to police, the two said that they found an unlocked door and entered the building. Criminal trespassing charges are pending.
