Hyde Park resident David Rundall was taken into custody on Thursday, June 14 and charged with third-degree grand larceny following an investigation into stolen utilities.

According to police, an investigation, conducted with the assistance of the Central Hudson Gas and Electric Company found that Rundall allegedly has been stealing power through an underground electric bypass designed to significantly understate his utility bills.

Following arraignment on the grand larceny charge, Rundall was released on his own recognizance and is due back in Hyde Park Court on June 21 to answer the charge.
