Firefighters battled a large brush fire that ignited Sunday afternoon near the Mount Kisco/Bedford border.

The fire, reported at 1:45 p.m. on Linden Lane off Route 172, was contained by 3 p.m.

Firefighters from Goldens Bridge, Katonah, Banksville and Pound Ridge departments all responded.
