Firefighters Battle Blaze At Home Off East Main Street In Shrub Oak

SHRUB OAK, N.Y. -- Firefighters from multiple municipalities battled a structure fire that broke out early in the afternoon at a home on Buckhorn Road off East Main Street in Shrub Oak on Sunday afternoon.

Smoke from the structure could be seen for miles as fire department units from Mohegan, Mahopac Falls, Yorktown and Peekskill quickly responded, according to Jack Casey, public information officer for the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department.

Mohegan Fire Police detoured traffic around the scene as Mohegan EMS set up to support their firefighters.

Firefighters remained at the scene through the afternoon.

There have been no reports of any injuries.
