Bedford Woman, 40, Charged With DWI After Traffic Stop In Mahopac Falls

CARMEL, N. Y. -- A 40-year-old Bedford woman is facing a misdemeanor aggravated driving while intoxicated charge after New York State Police say she was intoxicated during a Thursday traffic stop, police said.

Melissa A. Davis-Dawson was released with tickets to appear in Carmel Town Court at 6 p.m. July 25, police said.

Troopers stopped her car on Stillwater Road for speeding and determined she was intoxicated, police said. 

A breath test revealed she had a blood alcohol content of 0.22 percent, almost three times the legal limit, police said.
