BEDFORD, N.Y. -- A 69-year-old Bedford man recently reported more than $100,000 worth of items missing from his home over an eight-month period, officials said.

The resident, who filed the complaint March 3, noted the items included clothing, iPads and up to $3,000 worth of bedding, Bedford Police said.

The Bedford man noted the thefts most likely happened between June 2012 and February 2013, but he only recently began to notice missing possessions. His complaint to the police suggests two people—a friend and a cleaning employee—were staying at the home during that time, police said.

Though both of those individuals have left the county, Bedford Police said the investigation remains open.
